Where can I buy tickets to the festival?
Festival tickets l can be purchased here. Purchasing tickets in advance is advised.
Where is the festival?
Appalachian HorrorFest 2023 will be held at Central Cinema, located at 1205 N Central St, Knoxville, Tennessee 37917. Central Cinema is a community moviehouse located in the heart of North Knoxville’s Happy Holler neighborhood. As the city’s only independently owned theater, we offer a homegrown alternative to the corporate multiplex experience, keeping your moviegoing dollars in the hands of a team dedicated to celebrating both film and local culture.
If I leave the festival, will I be able to get back in without having to purchase a new ticket?
An armband will be issued upon entry into the festival that may be used for re-entering later that day.
Is there any way to cancel my ticket order or get a refund?
Due to limited seating, you may request a refund up to 7 days prior to the event. Refunds will only be issued to the original payment method. It should appear on your account within 5-7 business days, depending on your bank’s processing time. In the unlikely event the show is canceled, you will be entitled to a refund for the full purchase price of your tickets.
Is it okay to buy tickets from a third-party
Festival tickets are non-transferable, and the festival will not honor passes purchased from a third party. Only passes purchased through the Appalachian HorrorFest website and its official ticketing provider are guaranteed to be authentic. If you want 100% confidence in your purchase, you should only purchase through the links on our webpage. Appalachian Horrorfest is not responsible for any counterfeit tickets purchased via an unverified or unofficial third party.
When does the storytelling start?
Our evening of programming will begin at 5:00 PM and end at 10:30 PM.
Are children allowed to attend the festival?
Just the young at heart! Appalachian HorrorFest is an adult (18+) only event.
Are military discounts offered?
All current U.S. Military members currently involved in active duty service , Disabled Veterans, and Veterans qualify for a discount on the purchase of any adult general admission pass. ID verification will be required in the form of either the CAC Card. Discount applies with in-person, gate pass purchases only.
Is there an additional charge for parking?
Parking is included with festival ticket.
Is there accessible parking?
Accessible parking is provided. Please have your special parking placard visible and follow the on-site directions for assistance.
Is the festival ADA accessible?

What is your smoking policy?
There are designated smoking areas. You must use these designated areas for smoking tobacco, e-cigarettes, or legal vapor-smoking products. Receptacles are available to dispose of your cigarette butts. Do not throw cigarette butts on the ground.
What is your pet policy?
No! Your furry family members will need to stay at home. The venue has a “no pets allowed” policy. Please note service animals with proper paperwork are allowed. Service animals must always be on a leash and current on all vaccinations.
Can I take pictures and/or videos?
Photos and videos are permitted at the festival for personal use only. Cameras, video recorders and auxiliary equipment for commercial or professional use are prohibited, with the exception of approved media outlets.
Will I be able to use my debit/credit cards at the festival?
Most vendors do not accept credit cards. Bringing cash on-site is advised.
Can I bring my own food and drinks?
No outside food or drinks are allowed. However, baby formula, baby food, and food for service animals are permissible if the item is in its original container or clearly labeled.
What is your alcohol policy?
No outside food or drinks are allowed, including alcohol. The venue provides a selection of canned beers, ciders, and seltzers, priced below what you’re used to paying at a concession stand.
What is your weather policy?
The festival is held in an indoor venue so we will be open rain or shine. In the event of a weather emergency, to receive updates, check our website for details.
Is there a bag policy?
Although AHF does not prohibit the carrying of bags into the festival, all bags are subject to search. No firearms, knives, or weapons of any kind, including pepper spray, are allowed in the festival.
