FrightWorks

The unremarkably named VAULT 67 is one of many secure containment facilities located around the world with the dire purpose of securing entities, artifacts, and creatures that are too dangerous to let roam among humanity. The facility uses both ancient magics and state-of-the-art technology to trap, contain, and monitor its collection. The power and threat of each entity/item varies, and various containment techniques are utilized. Most can be housed in simple titanium and crystal cases reinforced with runic spells. Other, more powerful entities/items require more elaborate containment. These restless entities require environments that not only secure but also distract and placate their occupants to make them more manageable. These containment zones recreate environments that are familiar for its residents allowing for less confrontation and hostilities. VAULT 67 consists of several of these zones.

Even though you will be in proximity to some of the most dangerous and horrifying entities in the known universe, visitors to the facility are guaranteed a safe and comfortable observation of the inhabitants with no risk to your well being. Nothing can possible go wrong.

Screamville

Virgil Branson returned from the war and married the long time love of his life, Sarah. They scraped together enough money to buy the home and land that they had always dreamed of. Not knowing that the land was cursed, they set out to start their lives together. They planted crops and started a family. Soon the Branson’s began to realize that something wasn’t quite right. None of the crops would grow. No matter what they planted, corn was the only crop that would grow. And it was awful to the taste. It was very bitter and sometimes had a red color to it. The only thing it was good for was to feed the hogs with. Out of all the animals on the farm…cows, chickens, horses, goats and pigs…the only animals that lived were the hogs. Everything else either went missing or starved itself to death. Numerous times Virgil would find the bones of his goats arranged in circles in the middle of the field. Six months later the screams stopped at night…..And no one ever saw Virgil or Sarah again.

Since the Branson family mysteriously disappeared in 1934 there has been 12 families live on the property and 5 were never heard from again. All 12 families had tales of horrible acts going on here at the farm. Animals mutilated, murders, suicides, torture, missing people, sightings of unknown beings and creatures.  The land and home haven’t had an owner who lived on it in 20 years. The corn doesn’t even have a caretaker anymore. It grows every year on its on. Waiting for unsuspecting souls to enter its horrific grounds. It’s been said once you enter the corn, it takes you in. You are part of it. You never get to leave. It takes your body and soul to be forever tortured.

Dread Hollow

Dread Hollow was established in the early 1600s. A small farming community that would forever have its reputation tainted by one of its first settlers, Mercy Harker. In a sinister plan to bring untold evil to Dread Hollow, Mercy convinced the founding fathers the town was being led into the depths of depravity and darkness by thirteen young women she claimed were a coven of witches. The witch trials lasted only three days before fear forced the founders to pass the guilty verdict. The constable, Jedidiah Kane, was tasked with the executions. All thirteen women were hanged, and their bodies burned. As smoke from the smoldering corpses filled the air, a cackling sound began to echo through Main Street. Mercy Harker had watched her wicked scheme unfold from the clock tower. Through the howls of her maniacal laughter, she screeched, “This town is now mine!” Lightning streaked from the sky, striking the tower and sending it tumbling to the street, supposedly killing Mercy. As the blood of the thirteen innocents spilled upon the soil, a curse struck Dread Hollow, summoning darkness and evil that would forever terrorize the town. Throughout the years, more people have gone missing in Dread Hollow than in any other small town in America.
