Melanie Alexander

STORYTELLER

Melanie Alexander has been described as a modern Renaissance woman. A native of Appalachia, her nickname is the East Tennessee Barbie. But don’t let her blond locks and sparkling personality fool you; she is undeniably a force to be reckoned with. A graduate of the University of Tennessee, Melanie is a writer, lecturer, musician, life coach, and storyteller. Melanie is the creator of Alma Diem Office and Salon Suites, a revolutionary reimagining of the concept of an entrepreneurial center.

Melanie has created a platform from which she has become a social issues advocate for equality, diversity, and inclusion.

Melanie fell in love with storytelling when, as a young girl, she attended the National Storytelling Festival in Jonesborough, Tennessee. She found her passion for all things horror around that same time when she started watching Nickelodeon’s “Are You Afraid of the Dark?” with her brother.

Melanie Alexander serves as an Executive Producer for Ravens Vail Podcast and is the voice actor who brings the recurring character of Sibyl Ashford to life. When Melanie takes the stage, she brings unparalleled enthusiasm, passion, and love to her stories and for the people and places that are in them. You can’t help falling in love with Melanie on stage. A natural storyteller, her stories are vivid, engaging, and well-crafted, drawing you into the center of her story.
In her downtime, she is an avid reader. When she doesn’t have her nose in a book, she can be found polishing her skills as a sommelier or playing with her puppy, Chi-Chi.
